Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Vouched exists because dating should be built on trust — and that has to include how we treat your information. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the promises we keep. Vouched is operated from Alberta, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The promise underneath everything
What we collect, and why
- Vouch information. When someone vouches for a person, we receive both parties' names and email addresses, the relationship between them, and the words of the vouch. Until the vouched person claims it, this information is sealed — invisible through our applications — and used only to deliver one invitation email.
- Unclaimed vouches are erased. If a vouch is not claimed within 30 days, its contents are permanently deleted, automatically. If you decline a vouch, its contents are erased immediately, and — if you choose — that voucher is permanently prevented from vouching for you again.
- Profile information. If you claim a vouch, you provide your name, city, date of birth (only your age is ever shown), gender, who you're looking to meet, an optional photo, and optional words of your own. We use this solely to make introductions.
- Messages. Conversations happen only between two mutually accepted people. Messages are readable only by those two participants. Our systems automatically screen messages for patterns associated with romance scams (such as requests for money) to warn the recipient; links cannot be sent at all.
- Feedback and reports. After an introduction closes, you may leave a one-tap rating. Ratings are never shown to the other person; they inform future matching and safety.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information. Ever, to anyone.
- We do not run advertising or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use tracking pixels in our emails — we don't monitor whether you open them.
- We do not show your profile publicly or let anyone browse it. Your profile is visible only to the one person you are currently introduced to.
- Your voucher cannot see your activity — not your matches, not your conversations. Their role ends at the introduction.
Who can see what
Your profile (name, age, city, photo, bio, and your vouch) is visible only to your current introduction. Your photo is stored privately and is never public. Rejections are invisible: if an introduction doesn't proceed, no one is told who declined.
Where your information lives
Vouched runs on trusted infrastructure providers — Supabase (database and authentication), Netlify (hosting), and Resend (email delivery) — whose servers may be located in Canada and/or the United States. Each is bound by its own security and privacy commitments, and we configure them with strict access controls: our own systems can only access data through the same permission rules that protect it from everyone else.
Your rights
- Access & correction: you can view and edit your profile at any time at meetvouched.com/profile.
- Deletion: email us and we will delete your account and personal information. Declining a vouch requires no account and erases everything immediately.
- Questions or complaints: contact us at hello@meetvouched.com. You also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Age
Vouched is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it — this is enforced by our systems, not just our rules.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you by email. We will never quietly weaken a promise made here.
